Virginia L. Garden Edwards

Virginia L. Garden Edwards, 89, of Johnson City went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Jonesborough and daughter of the late George and Nancy Hurt Garden. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her brothers: Robert C. Garden (killed in WWII at Normandy), and John D. Garden; and her sister, Ella Fox. Virginia worked as a tip saw operator at Kennametal for over 23 years. She was a member of Cornerstone Church. Those left to cherish Virginia’s memory include her daughter, Melody Star Edwards, two nieces and one nephew, her friend and former husband, Charles W. Edwards, several friends also survive. A Celebration of Virginia’s life will be held on Monday, August 31, 2020 at 2:00 pm in the Sunrise chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City, with Mr. David Ensminger officiating. A graveside service will follow at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.tetrickfuneralhome.com.
