Ronald Lee Hammett

November 30, 1948 - July 7, 2020

Ronald Lee Hammett, 71, of Gray, passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 7, 2020. He was a native of Johnson City and son of the late Alonzo Homer and Dorothy Mildred Hammett. In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Hammett, II. Those left to cherish Ronald’s memory include his loving wife, Brenda Ensley Hammett, daughters: Missy Shelton (Chris), Dawn Cox (Lee), Rhonda McSwain; grandchildren: Anthony Cox (Brittany), Lita Cox, Joshua McSwain (Monica), Elisha McSwain, Jessica Britt, Kristen Shelton (Travis), Jackie Britt (Vidal Simon), Curtis Shelton (Courtney), Kaitlin Britt, and Caleb Shelton; great-grandchildren: Mia, Kyleigh, Brayden, Carter, Greyson, Wyatt and Olivia; sister, Brenda Oxendine, special nephew, Richard Hammett, III and family, several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. The family will greet friends to share memories on Friday, July 10, 2020 from 11:00 am until a Celebration of Ronald’s life at 1:00 pm in the Sunset Room of Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City with Pastor Mike Ogle officiating. A private family graveside will be held at Boones Creek Christian Church Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.tetrickfuneralhome.com.
