Linzy "Reed" Trivette

March 20, 1951 - January 15, 2021

Linzy “Reed” Trivette, age 69, of Jacksonville, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 15, 2021 from his residence. Reed was born in Carter County, Tennessee to the late Arlie Ray and Daisy Maxine Davis Trivette. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Horton Ray “Bib” Trivette and Bernard Trivette; and a sister, Eula Belle Barger. Reed worked for 28 years as a general foreman for Daniels Construction before operating his own construction business for an additional 8 years before his retirement. Reed enjoyed bowling, basketball and golfing during his retirement years, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Reed was loved by everyone and enjoyed time with all his massive family from the youngest to the oldest! Those left to cherish Reed’s many memories include his devoted partner and best friend, Maryann Foti, of Florida; his daughter, Melissa R. Trivette, of Florida; his beloved granddaughter, Savannah P. Taylor and husband Jesse, Elizabethton; his sisters, Jessie Lee Lambert and husband George, of Butler and Genevieve Greenwell, of Hampton; his brothers, Ferrell Trivette, of Jacksonville, Florida, Bobby James Trivette, of Hampton, William “Bill” Trivette, of Hampton, and Dennis Trivette and wife Sharon, of Hampton; twenty seven nieces and nephews and several cousins also survive. A graveside service to celebrate the life of Reed Trivette will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Private Joel Trivette Cemetery (Dark Ridge Road, Elk Park, North Carolina) with Reverend Dean Presnell, officiating. Active pallbearers will be Greg Trivette, Bobby Joe Trivette, Shane Lambert, Ken Trivette, Jayden Hensley, Jamichael Grimes, Jerry Grimes, Greg Barger and Dylan Trivette. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton at 2:00 PM on Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, prior to the graveside service on Saturday. Those who prefer memorials may make donations to Autism Speaks, 1060 State Road, 2nd Floor, Princeton, NJ 08540 or actautism.org/donate in honor of Reed.
