Kimberley Jaac (Pate) Proffitt, age 57, of Elizabethton, Tennessee went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at the Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness. Kim was born in Elizabethton to the late Jack Dempsey Pate and Nellie Jo Fulton Pate. In addition to her parents, Kim was also preceded in death by a nephew, Jamie Pate and a sister-in-law, Darlene Pate. Kim had a tender soul and was a wonderful wife, mom, daughter and grandmother. She was all about her family, especially her granddaughter and was constantly organizing family functions so she could create lasting memories with them. Kim was very talented and artistic- she enjoyed drawing and pottery. She owned her own personalized stationery and invitation company called “All About You.” She was loved dearly by everyone that surrounded her. Kim just enjoyed life, whether with her family or friends. She made the most of every moment. Those left to cherish Kim’s many wonderful memories include her loving husband, Russell Proffitt of the home; her beloved daughter, Hannah Lacy (fiancé Brady Holder); her beautiful granddaughter, Evie Nell Lacy; her siblings, Cathy (Jim) Timbs, Dannie Pate, Belinda (Tim) Heaton and Leann Pate; and several nieces, nephews and cousins that she loved dearly. A visitation for Kim will be conducted from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 in the Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Andrew Pate, Scott Pate, Matthew Timbs, Joey Burker, Caleb Timbs, Brandon Waycaster, Brady Holder, Gaylon Foster and Kenny Bates.
