Kenneth Carr
May 23, 1937 - December 10, 2020
Kenneth Carr, age 83, of Bluff City, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 10, 2020 from his residence. Kenneth was born in Elizabethton, Tennessee to the late Geeter and Effie Blevins Carr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Davis Carr; his son, Kenneth Patrick Carr; two brothers, Bud Carr and Herbert Carr; three sisters, Clara Rutledge, Sylvia Ournduff and June Milhorne; a step son, Ralph Roger Hollingshead; and a nephew, Bill Joe Rutledge. Kenneth was a carpenter by trade and was a very loving man. He was friendly to everyone and a “jack of all trades” if he didn’t know how, he would figure it out. Kenneth was a life time member of Bunker Hill Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, and working on cars but his truest joy was reading his Bible and watching televised preaching, which he did every single day. Those left to cherish his many wonderful memories include a son, Steven Hollingshead and wife Carol, of Bluff City, two daughters, Karen Carr Good, of Greeneville and Tabitha Mays and husband David, of Bristol, VA; a sister, Barbara Owens, of Bluff City; and a brother, David Carr, of Bluff City. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends, church family and neighbors also survive Kenneth. A service to celebrate the life of Kenneth Carr will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 13, 2020 in the Bunker Hill Christian Church with Pastor Grant Foster, officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM at the church, prior to the service on Sunday. The graveside service will take place at Sunrise Cemetery following the funeral service. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to Bunker Hill Christian Church, 490 Bunker Hill Road, Bluff City, TN 37618 in honor of Kenneth. The family would like to firstly thank God for allowing Kenneth to be a part of our lives. Also, all the friends and family for their support during this difficult time and Pastor Grant Foster for all his home visits and support.
