Carole Shell Brookshire

December 10, 1939 - July 20, 2020

Carole Shell Brookshire, age 80, of Elizabethton, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 20, 2020 from the Hillview Health Center of Elizabethton. Carole was born in Carter County to the late George and Edith Hermon Shell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Brookshire; and a brother, Norris Wayne Shell. Carole was retired as an office manager for Ball Brothers Furniture and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and will be cherished and missed by her family. Those left to cherish her memories include two children, Ronnie Brookshire and wife Nancy, of Nashville, TN and Christi Tyree and husband James, of Watauga, TN; and her grandchildren, Taylor Tyree, Hunter Tyree, Remington Tyree, Bailey Tyree, Madison Tyree and Kurtis Brookshire; her great granddaughter, Lillian Luther; and a sister-in-law, Sharon Shell. A graveside service to celebrate Carole’s life will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Larry Adams, officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton at 9:15 AM on Wednesday.
