Brenda Elaine Huff Bales, 78, of Johnson City passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at Holston Valley Medical Center. She was a native of Johnson City and daughter of the late George Edward, Sr., and Marie Prevette Huff. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her husband Charles Richard Bales, brother, Tony Huff, and nephews: Timothy Andies, and John Osborne. She was of the Baptist faith, Brenda enjoyed reading, baking and especially taking care of her family. Those left to cherish Brenda’s memory include her sons: Richard Bales, Ward Bales and his wife Brandy; grandson, Matthew Bales, granddaughters: Emma Bales Crain (Aaron), and Emma Sifford; her sisters: Rachael Jenkins (Charles), Dawn Bales (Bill), Nora Andies, Mari Hamby; brothers: Eddie Huff (Cheryl), Mike Huff (Janet), Keith Huff (Janice); several nieces and nephews. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff of Holston Valley ICU, Wilcox Hall, and the entire Amedysis Hospice staff for the loving care provided to Brenda. The family will greet friends to share memories on Saturday, June 13, 2020 from 12:00 pm until a Celebration of Brenda’s life at 2:00 pm in the Sunrise chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City with Reverend Mike Sluder officiating.
